Description
Welp, after a long time of waiting around for minky and being too distracted by video games and work, I finally got around to finishing this little guy! He's the second one I made because the first one I made was more of a test plush than anything else, so I could know what to fix on the second one. Well, this one's not perfect either. Most notably getting the embroidery to work was a huge pain; even now, his eyes aren't completely opaque, and the machine missed a line on each eye in a way that almost gives him the angry eye look (I had to do some manual embroidery afterwards to fix the spots, as it was a lot more obvious before). Definitely was a learning experience overall!
He's made of minky with embroidered eyes. Sitting down he's about 1'02" tall; I'm not sure if he counts as life-size since some Pokemon are measured length-wise rather than height-wise, but if the official 1'08" is measured lengthwise, then he's pretty much life-size! Unlike the last one I made, he's fully capable of sitting up on his own. Unfortunately he doesn't have poseable frills; I was definitely considering putting them in, but I decided in the end that I don't have enough experience working with wire/poseability to do it. Also admittedly I'm getting tired of staring at yellow and black fabric
Next on my list of stuff I know I'll be doing are a Lanturn plush and a Furret plush! If you have any suggestions regarding anything (how to improve technique/results, what I should consider working on next, etc.), I'd love to hear it, since as a beginner feedback (both positive and critical) is one of the most important motivators for me to continue plushing.
