Cresselia Plush

Made as a commission.

Chalk another one up for "Pokemon whose features are difficult to capture in plush form but apparently I'm crazy enough to try to make anyway" (the other being Florges). This one was definitely a tough plush to make, especially with Cresselia's head; not only is it very small compared to the rest of her body (which you can see in the comparison photo between the Banpresto plush and mine), but it's also very geometric and has very sharp tips, which is hard to capture in plush form (I ended up going through like 3 or 4 revisions in addition to a prototype). I ended up hand sewing the head entirely since the pattern was sorta convoluted, although surprisingly it wasn't that hard to actually plan out.

This one's about 10-ish inches from the tail to the front of the nose (I actually forgot to measure ) and a foot long between the tips of the wings. Made with sunshine, baby blue, fuschia, pink, and snow white minky. The wings and back ring are supported with aluminum armature wire.

Fun fact: The Banpresto Cresselia plush in the picture is the first plushie I ever owned! I bought it maybe 7 or 8 years ago along with some plushies which I bought for my sister's birthday (which in retrospect were probably bootlegs ). So making this was sort of like coming full circle, which is pretty cool.
